Key Control for National Guard Facilities

How Sequence Lock Devices Work in Military Applications

The key retaining device is being used as an effective tool for key control for access to equipment, munitions, supplies and sensitive materials. Controlled by Ranking Officer for authorized access with key control of pertaining to restricted equipment, sensitive materials or munitions.

Benefits for Military Security and Accountability

This application for the key retaining device, the Ranking Officer has an identified/tagged release key to be inserted into the retaining device and rotated. The rotation will allow removal of retained key (master key access for all areas of security pertaining to military equipment) and in turn traps the release key. The Ranking Officer release key remains trapped until the retained key is returned and rotated. After this action, the release key can be removed, with the retained key being trapped.

Reducing Risk and Human Error

These key retaining devices establish accountability for important keys (ex: master keys, access control, etc.) and dramatically reduce both human mistakes and risk exposure for hierarchy level keys. This key control of put and take system acts as a mechanical usage identifier and sign-out identification when active.
